In 2020 we will not be opening the site. After four very successful years, we have decided to take a fallow one.
The AGM for members of Frome Allotment Association will be on Wednesday April 4th 7pm at Trinity Main Hall. An agenda will be sent out in advance.

Get Growing 2017 A free Growing club for parents and carers at Vallis First and St Louis Primary Schools.
Who is it for? Beginners with little or no previous experience in growing.
Do you want to: Get more exercise? Eat more healthily? Improve your growing skills? Save money? Meet new people?
What do you learn? You will learn how to grow food, from soil preparation and planting out, to looking after your crops at home and harvesting. We will give you good ideas on how to grow crops with your children at home. We will share advice and share recipes on how to cook the food we’ve grown.
Where? On the community plot at Welshmill Allotments Frome.
When? The session is weekly on Thursdays 12.45 -2.45. The first session is Thursday 20th April. We will run sessions throughout the growing season.

A date has been fixed for this year’s AGM for FAA members. It’s Trinity Church Hall, March 29th at 7pm.
As usual members will receive a letter in the post along with the invoice for your plot rental. See you there.
The Frome Potato Day and Seed Swap will be on Sunday 26th February 2017, from 10am – 2pm, at the Cheese and Grain, Market Yard, Frome, £2 Entry
Recommended for seed potatoes from Pennard Plants.
The weather was on our side when we opened Muriel Jones Allotments on 5th July as part of the NGS(National Garden Scheme).
A big thanks to all of our plot holders and members who made it such a success. The site looked great and people were impressed. One visitor said, “It certainly lived up to the NGS description in the handbook.”
Visitors chatted to plot holders, ate cake, drank tea and took away ideas. 95 people came through the gate and we raised £660 for NGS charities. It was certainly well worth doing!
Critchill School, who have a plot on the site, did some digging and strimming and chatted to visitors.
